URA - Alex supported Dr. Pryor and graduate students in the development of robotic arms and their associated software to be used in the manipulation of nuclear materials inside a glove box. She worked with the then new Microsoft Kinect, designing and conducting tests to determine the accuracy of the device as a cost-effective sensor to locate and potentially identify objects within the constraints of the glove box containing nuclear materials. Alex currently works in the Washington DC area.
