(hazardous environments, supervised autonomy, mobile manipulation, augmented reality)

NRG Robots

The Nuclear & Applied Robotics Group at The University of Texas at Austin is looking for outstanding candidates to fill postdoctoral and/or full-time research/engineering positions. The start date is immediate but can be flexible if necessary.

Candidates for these positions may have a doctorate or master’s degree with an emphasis on robotics within mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or a related field. Outstanding candidates with a bachelor’s degree and similar expertise/experience may also be considered. Areas of interest include system design/build, supervised autonomy, mobile manipulation, contact control, situational awareness, and augmented reality. Our emphasis is on field deployment and conducting research that enables use in remote and/or hazardous environments.
Through hiring, we hope to add mechanical engineering (system design, CAD, electromechanical build, etc.), software engineering (ROS, networking, sensor integration, etc.), and applied research expertise to our team. Applicants may apply at either of the following links:

While ideal candidates will meet the requirements listed for each position, all ranges of expertise and experience will be considered. The listed titles and salary ranges can be adjusted as appropriate. Some funding sources require researchers to be US Citizens.
